About the Business...

WildCard Graphics was established in 1996 to meet the growing need for quality drafting services in Dorchester County, Maryland. Since that time we have worked closely with the area's leading builders and broadened our reach with projects in Washington, and Baltimore, and the Eastern Shore from Cecil County to Ocean City.

Our business is in the process of re-grouping in the midst of the economic downturn, which has had a substantial impact on the housing market on Delmarva.  While WildCard Graphics as an entity has reached the end of its run, I am still available to consult on your project on a part-time basis.  Hopefully things will pick back up and we'll be able to serve the market more fully in the coming years.

Our goal remains to be thoroughly engaged with our clients to make sure our designs and services meet the specific needs their project. We do this by listening carefully to your wants and needs, by being knowledgeable about construction techniques, and by utilizing years of experience to streamline the process and get a functional, and beautiful result.

We have also been very successful and providing competent residential design services for thousands less than a traditional architect.

About the Owner...Lee

Lee Weldon has worked at various aspects of residential and commercial construction for over 12 years. He began his career in material sales and management with 84 Lumber Company in Baltimore and Cambridge, Maryland, then went to work as estimator, project manager and lead designer for Glenn P.Ruark, Inc., the largest builder based in Dorchester County.

In 2000, Lee took his sideline business fully independent, and began a period of growth that saw his business nearly double every year for 4 years. From 2005 to 2007, Wild Card became a full-time business, adding the advanced Chief Architect program to handle the increasing volume of business.  The economic downturn of 2007 required that the business be put on hold, but Lee remains available to consult on design projects on a part time basis.

He is currently working as the Manager of the Office of Housing and Community Development for the City of Cambridge.

Lee continues to do illustration work for private commissions, and also donates several commissions a year to worthy causes in his community. His work has been auctioned to support the Dorchester General Hospital, St. Mary's Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church, Waugh Memorial United Methodist Church, and various other fund drives. He also served a term on the Cambridge City Council.

He was honored with the privilege of creating a series of three large illustrations for the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, which now hang in the executive suite there.

Lee resides in Cambridge, Maryland with his wife Laura, and their 4 children. His hobbies include N scale model railroading and working on his 1905 vintage home.
